Hello
Let me introduce myself while I build the website.
With more than three decades of leadership experience in emergency medical services, operations management, information technology oversight, and large-scale disaster response, I bring a unique blend of operational, technical, and strategic capability that aligns strongly with the needs of dynamic and mission-driven organizations.
Throughout my 35-year tenure at Mobile Medical Response (MMR), I advanced through multiple leadership roles culminating in my most recent position as Director of Ancillary Services. In this capacity, I oversaw all IT and technical infrastructure for a highly complex system serving 16 counties, 140 ambulances, 700 employees, and a full-service secondary 911 dispatch center. My work included managing enterprise networks, designing communication systems, ensuring data interoperability, maintaining operational continuity, and leading teams through both day-to-day challenges and high-pressure scenarios.
In earlier roles as Director of Operations and Director of Quality Assurance, Training, and Risk Management, I had the opportunity to shape organizational culture, implement new clinical technologies, drive process improvements, and enhance both regulatory compliance and system performance. Each role strengthened my ability to lead cross-functional teams, collaborate with state and federal partners, and deliver operational excellence in diverse environments.
I am particularly proud of my work in disaster and emergency response, where I led or supported major deployments during Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Gustav, Ike, and Superstorm Sandy. I have also served as Chair of the Saginaw County Emergency Preparedness Council and as a member of the Michigan Region 3 Incident Management Team. These experiences solidified my ability to perform in demanding environments and coordinate effectively across agencies.
I am excited about the opportunity to bring my experience in operations, technology, emergency response, and team leadership to your organization. I am confident in my ability to contribute to your mission and support the continued growth and effectiveness of your operations.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my background can support your organization’s goals.
Sincerely,
Harold Jay Cooper
